St.Peter’s School Journey 2018

Our Year 6 children attended Arethusa Centre in Rochester, Kent, for this year’s school journey.  Below are the daily updates:

Wednesday:  Everyone arrived safely, and settled well into their rooms.  After lunch everyone went for a lovely woodland adventure walk, including shelter building.  After dinner children visited the shop, followed by a gym session, which was great fun for all.  The sun shone brightly all day.

Thursday:  In small groups, children participated in skill and confidence building activities including team games and rock climbing.  The children thoroughly enjoyed these activities, and Arethusa staff commented on the excellent team working skills shown.  The children went swimming in the evening, and after dinner, the children were visited by a Storyteller, making a lovely end to a very busy day.  The weather was nice and dry.

Friday:  All our children woke bright and early this morning.  After breakfast everyone packed their belongings and tidied up their dormitories.  They enjoyed orienteering and climbing games, making the most of their last morning, before having lunch.  Everyone arrived back safely in school,  having learnt both practical skills as well as social skills, working as a team.  They all thoroughly enjoyed an active, happy few days in Rochester.
