Prayer Group are a group of children from Years 4, 5 and 6 who come together every Thursday morning from 8:30 – 8:55. We come together to prayer, reflect and think of ways to help and support our school and local community.  We like to sing our praises to God and to help organise assemblies.

Extended PE Provision

At St. Peter’s we feel it is important for children to engage in extra-curricular activities. This is to ensure that the children are provided with the opportunity to learn and develop key skills that they can then implement within the classroom. These include the values of determination, resilience, team work and problem solving.

We offer a range of after school activities. These include:

  • Gymnastics (Year 1 and 2)
  • Football (Years 3,4 and 5)
  • Multisports (Years 3, 4 and 5)

It is vital that children are encouraged to be as active as they can be, as this will then support them in the wider world.

In addition, we have a specialist PE Coach, Mr McGrath, who comes into school once a week to work with the children. He also team teaches with teachers to support their subject knowledge of the subject and provides them with the confidence to teach these key skills independently.
